Drupal Certified Partner Silver, first in Italy
On May 14, 2026 the Drupal Association recognized SparkFabrik as the first Drupal Certified Partner Silver in Italy. The recognition is based on Contribution Credits accumulated over 18 years of continuous contribution to the open source project, since 2008.

What is the Drupal Certified Partner Program
The Drupal Certified Partner Program is the official recognition system run by the Drupal Association for agencies actively contributing to the open source project.
The program assigns Contribution Credits for verifiable work: code on drupal.org, maintained modules, events and DrupalCamps, technical training, financial support to the foundation.
There are four levels: Bronze (initial recognition), Silver (continuous contribution), Gold (high volume), Platinum (structural leadership).
Our Drupal story starts in 2008
The public profiles of founders Paolo Mainardi and Stefano Mainardi on drupal.org have been active for nearly twenty years. Other founders and several Sparkers have been on the platform for almost twenty years as well. SparkFabrik was born ten years ago from the evolution of Twinbit and Agavee, already at the time two real Drupal companies. The 2026 Silver is the snapshot of that path, not a trophy.

The Silver status is the synthesis of a continuous practice in the public places of the Drupal community. We co-organize DrupalCamp Italy, the Italian community event. We are contributors to the Drupal AI Initiative, with concrete contributions in decisive areas: DDEV development environment for AI, Guardrails security framework, RAG with Search API Typesense, MCP for agentic workflows, enterprise integrations. We publish talks at DrupalCon, host Drupal Contribution Days in-house, structurally sponsor the Drupal Association.
The SparkFabrik Drupal team includes 10+ Acquia-certified developers, the highest count in Italy. The credentials are a reflection of the work done, not a separate goal.

The Drupal Certified Partner Program is the Drupal Association's official recognition system for agencies that contribute to the open source project. There are four levels:
Bronze: initial recognition for agencies with measurable contributions
Silver: continuous, consolidated contribution

Platinum: structural leadership in the community
SparkFabrik has been at Silver level since May 2026. The recognition is based on Contribution Credits accumulated through code, events, training and financial support.
A Contribution Credit is the Drupal Association's official unit of measure for evaluating a company's contribution to the Drupal open source project. Credits come from publicly verifiable contributions: closed issues on drupal.org, maintained modules, event sponsorship, talks at official conferences, contributions to the Drupal AI Initiative. The system is transparent and tracked by the community.
Four concrete advantages for enterprise projects:

We are active contributors to the Drupal AI Initiative, the community-driven effort integrating AI into the Drupal project. We have contributed in key areas for enterprise adoption: DDEV development environment for AI, Guardrails security framework, RAG with Search API Typesense, MCP for agentic workflows, async AI Agent Runner on Symfony Messenger, integrations like TMGMT Lara Translate. DrupalCamp Italy is the largest Italian event dedicated to Drupal. A non-commercial community event, designed for developers, designers and decision-makers working with Drupal. The next edition is in Bologna on October 22, 2026. SparkFabrik co-organizes it alongside other Italian companies: a concrete sign of our commitment to the local ecosystem, beyond the global one.
