The relationship between the client and the technology partner according to SparkFabrik

Companies are not just a headquarters, a sign, and a tax ID number. Companies are the people who live them and, with their passion, make them grow together with their clients.

We believe that working requires many qualities, beyond the specific skills related to what you do. We like to work with transparency, professionalism and dedication; but also with a touch of human closeness and empathy, which allow us to best interpret the needs of our clients.

And since our work - organized with agile methods - requires continuous planning and documenting of activities to be done, we feel it’s the least we can do to also give concrete form to the values that guide us day after day. What follows is therefore the list of principles that, in our view, make the difference in the relationship we have with our clients.

Humanity and empathy

One of the things that pleased us the most among what our clients have told us are the words of Annalisa Gennaro, Digital Marketing and Communication at Caleffi Hydronic Solutions: “SparkFabrik is proof that serious business doesn’t necessarily have to be disconnected from the ability to be well-rounded people who believe in the most sincere human relationships and in smiling while working.”

We believe this is a perfect interpretation of who we are: we don’t just see ourselves as vendors, but we are also, first and foremost, entrepreneurs and developers ourselves. That’s why we feel that making room for our humanity and empathy allows us to interpret both the business needs of our clients and the operational needs of the company’s development teams.

And we feel like part of your team: with empathy, meaning the ability to put ourselves in our clients’ shoes, we are able to build a bond of trust from the very first moments of the collaboration.

Transparency and closeness

Projects are long and can be difficult. Rather than making them more complicated, we want to make them more effective and ensure they work better. We’ve understood that you need to be honest and open, in addition to knowing what you’re talking about: that’s why we offer our technology and strategic consulting based on solid skills and comparable past experiences.

Transparency and closeness are, in our view, fundamental qualities in our work, right from the start: proposals need to be discussed and shared already during the technology selection phase, putting all available knowledge on the table. We’re not afraid to express our ideas when we think it’s useful, because the success of the project is what we put first.

And once completed, a project is never truly finished. Improvement and optimization continue, and the client can always count on us. As Cristiano Poian, Head of Digital Strategy at Zambon, said about us: “The design system created together with SparkFabrik is today an asset of great value for the entire company. We continue to work together to grow it day after day, making it available to more and more functions and countries.”

Experience and innovation

The beauty of digital technology is that it’s constantly evolving: being passionate about our work means, for us, loving innovation, being curious and finding satisfaction in solving problems and optimizing business processes whenever possible. It’s innovation that naturally drives us to learn about, test and then propose highly performant new solutions to our clients. Experience, on the other hand, enables us to understand what is needed and what isn’t, and to use it to solve specific problems and requirements.

It’s a difficult balance, but it’s also one of the challenges that excites us the most. That’s why we’re proud of what our client Alessandro Bonelli, ICT Project Monitoring at Agenzia delle Entrate, said about us: “The ability to build as well as customize was decisive in overcoming several pitstops that arose during the project. The Agile methodology also allowed us to course-correct at the end of sprints, to the full satisfaction of internal stakeholders. The team was also instrumental in resolving significant issues in managing the hosting architecture and delivering self-produced videos, which was far from trivial, as well as guiding us through difficult choices.”

Conclusion

Writing this list has made us realize even more how important it is for our internal culture to put the client company’s needs at the center. But to do so genuinely, you need to offer a package of consolidated skills, the ability to innovate, transparency, and the willingness to work side by side with clients, interpreting their needs and fully understanding their expectations. This is our passion.
